Mission & Vision
Our Mission
To provide a voice, space, and healing for those struggling with mental health, trauma, and loss.
We believe healing begins when people are given permission to speak honestly and be met with compassion. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for individuals and families to engage in conversations around mental health in ways that are accessible, human, and restorative.
Courage to Speak exists to help people feel less alone, reduce stigma, and encourage families and communities to better recognize pain, respond with care, and pursue healing.
Our Vision
Creating brave spaces for real conversations, deeper understanding, and community healing.
Our vision is to build a growing movement of speaking circles, panel discussions, and community conversations focused on mental health awareness and suicide prevention. These spaces are designed to help families learn how to support loved ones, identify warning signs, and respond to emotional pain with wisdom, empathy, and action.
We are especially committed to making room for the voices of those who are often expected to carry pain quietly — including men, people of color, and faith communities. Too often, the people who are seen as “strong” feel they have no room to be vulnerable. We want to change that.
By creating safe and courageous spaces for dialogue, we hope to replace stigma with understanding and isolation with connection.
